Chios is a form of energy healing that includes specific techniques for balancing the chakras, clearing the energy field, and repairing energetic damage caused by past physical and emotional experiences.
In 2005, I was in an abusive marriage and was beginning to uncover memories of traumatic experiences I’d had as a child. Trying to navigate these things while raising two children was difficult. I needed clarity. I needed help.
I met and became close friends with someone who practiced Chios, and as he got to know more about me, he offered me a session. I was honestly a little afraid at first, because I didn’t know what to expect. I was also afraid of my own inner power to heal, because I was in my mid-30s and had never known myself any other way than traumatized and abused. I didn’t know who I would be if I embraced the power to heal.
But I chose to go forward with having a session, and I’m glad I did.
Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t easy to deal with the effects. Energy healing can bring up past impressions and memories, and it can take time and additional assistance to deal with those. I was fortunate that my friend was compassionate and willing to help me process what came up as a result of that and subsequent Chios sessions he did with me.
I was also fortunate that those memories and impressions were uncovered. Even though dealing with them was painful, as long as I kept them buried, I couldn’t heal. I wasn’t getting better; I was living in denial. Gaining the clarity to see *what* I needed to heal enabled me to begin my healing journey.
That’s why I chose to learn Chios. My friend recognized something in me that led him to believe I had a gift for healing, and I wanted to help others gain insight and embrace their own power to heal. My friend agreed to teach me, and within a few months I had reached the level of Certified Chios Master Teacher. I’ve since reached the highest available level, Chios Master of Healing Consciousness.
For me, the best part of doing Chios sessions for others is helping them recognize and embrace the power to heal, and supporting them as they begin or continue their healing journey.
